GRAND PRIZE WINNER FOR LYS DURING THE GREAT NORTHERN YARN HAUL–

our very own JANE DICKERMAN!

Thank you to everyone who visited LYS during the Great Northern Yarn Haul.  I took the names over to Beannacht books for Robin Grubby to do the drawing and look who she pulled!  Jane said, “Yippee!  I love the yarn and the basket!”

It couldn’t go to a more appreciative yarnie, unless it went to you, of course.

YARN TASTING–PREPARING THE SCARVES–August 10th. 5-7

We’ve been knitting and crocheting scarves for the yarn bombing on Summerfest. Friday night, along with enjoying each other’s company, we’ll be sewing together scarves to decorate the dancing tree and maybe the gazebo if there are enough scarves.  Right now we have 16, but I’m hoping to double that number!

SUMMERFEST! Saturday, August 11th

From open ’til close.  Fiber Arts on the sidewalk!

Several things are happening during Summerfest in Bethlehem.  Old Home Day and Art Walk have been combined, so we’ll have arts and crafts, a parade, and food vendors on the street.  Then activities switch to the gazebo where there will be a chicken barbecue, bean hole, beer tasting followed by Barnyard Pimps at 6:00. At Love.Yarn.Shop. we’ll be making a rug with Bethlehem fleece in the paddling pool outside the shop.  In addition, we’ll be spinning and knitting and crocheting during the day, so bring your chairs and projects for a nice small town celebration.
